Sandusky Scandal Tied to Philly Pedophile Network

The point of this is to return to investigation that will hopefully expose whoever was responsible for the switch from CYS to DPW and whoever arranged for Seasock's evaluation and its substitution for the one by Dr. Chambers. SEE 1998 So Close to an End for Sandusky  That could not be Joe Paterno or Tim Curley/Gary Schultz.

The idea should be to expose and excise the entire cancer - not to scapegoat a dying football coach as a distraction from people in power - not the Penn State administration or football program.

WEB EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: VICTIM CLAIMS SANDUSKY SEX SCANDAL CONNECTED TO PHILADELPHIA PEDOPHILE NETWORK

By
Victor Thorn

On Nov. 11, 2011 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania radio talk show host Mark Madden dropped a bombshell during an appearance on Boston’s WEEI when he told radio talk show hosts John Dennis and Gerry Callahan, “I hear there’s a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the The Second Mile (TSM)—and hold on to your stomachs, boys, this is gross—that Jerry Sandusky and the Second Mile were pimping out young boys to rich donors.”

Now, further evidence that Jerry Sandusky’s TSM was being used to traffic underage boys to wealthy donors took a major step forward via a July 19 interview with Greg Bucceroni, currently employed as a school police officer in the Philadelphia, Pa. school district while also volunteering with the District Attorney’s office.

Bucceroni told this reporter, “In 1979 and 1980—when I was 13 and 14 years old—a well-connected pedophile named Edward Savitz took me on trips from Philadelphia to TSM fundraisers. I knew the minute I got there it was a breeding ground because of Savitz’s involvement. While [Jerry] Sandusky interacted with wealthy donors, the other men were sizing-up kids. I felt like a cheap whore because I was in these naked pictures that Savitz was passing around.”
When asked how certain he was in regard to these claims, Bucceroni replied, “I’m sure of it. Savitz talked about taking kids from Philly to TSM and introducing them to men—soliciting them to ‘his friends.’ They exchanged and swapped kids like baseball cards. It was a feeding frenzy. I felt like a prostitute or a go-go dancer at a bachelor party. I felt dirty, used and cheap.”
When it came to TSM’s founder, Bucceroni didn’t overplay what happened. “Savitz introduced me to Sandusky on two separate occasions, but he didn’t come across like a pedophile. The other guys at these functions, though, were different. I could tell from their body language what they had in mind. When I met him, Jerry was a like a movie star. Everyone called him ‘Coach.’ After Savitz hand-delivered my enrollment forms to him, Jerry grabbed me by the shoulder—not in a sexual way—and said, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll take care of you.’ Savitz told me that Jerry would take kids to football games.”
Sexually abused victims who testified at the Sandusky trial in Bellefonte, Pa. confirmed this point.
As questioning turned to other individuals at these get-togethers, Bucceroni remarked, “They were obviously wealthy—like doctors, attorneys, politicians and businessmen—and I could tell some were married from their wedding rings. But their body language gave away their intentions. On my second trip to TSM, I went with Savitz, another pedophile, and a boy my age. Savitz mingled with the other adults, discreetly showing them child porn pictures that he’d brought along. These are the kinds of places where guys from New York, Jersey and Pa. interact. Plus, with all the Penn State hoopla, TSM promoted itself as an alternative to jail or juvenile hall. They said it was the best thing since peanut butter and jelly. But Sandusky is just one in a handful of them. I hope you shine a light on this society of pedophiles.”
On July 16, nearly a month after Jerry Sandusky’s conviction on 45 counts of child sex abuse, Sara Ganim of Harrisburg’s Patriot-News revealed, “Sources close to the Jerry Sandusky case say that three men have come forward and told police that they were abused in the 1970s or 1980s by the convicted pedophile.” She continued, “If found to be credible, [they] would directly attack the 68-year-old’s defense argument that a person doesn’t become a pedophile in his or her 50s.”
The Story’s Beginning
During our July 19 interview, Greg Bucceroni described himself back in the mid-to-late 1970s as “a young tough John Travolta-type kid with a New York accent—a poster boy for juvenile delinquency that got in lots of trouble.”
In 1976 he met Edward Savitz, a “youth advocate,” Democratic political booster, and big donor to then-Philadelphia District Attorney Ed Rendell. In a July 17 article for the New York Daily News, Christian Reid wrote, “Savitz was finally arrested in March 1992, charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sex abuse of children, indecent assault and corrupting the morals of a minor. He died of AIDS in a hospice days before his trial was to begin in April 1993.”
Reid also noted, “Like Sandusky, Savitz met and groomed many of his alleged victims through his work with at-risk youths.” In this context, Reid continued, “…Savitz would engage in oral sex with Bucceroni and other victims. Savitz’s attorney, Barnaby Wittels, told the Daily News Savitz paid his victims in exchange for them performing deviant acts.” Lastly, “There were over 5,000 photos of Savitz’s many alleged victims recovered by authorities from Savitz’s apartment, including many of Bucceroni,” Reid wrote.
Bucceroni continued this narrative. “Instead of going to juvenile jail, Savitz pushed me toward TSM. My stepfather had already filled-out the paperwork, so when we drove up there [32 years later, Bucceroni can’t recall the exact location], Savitz said he’d keep me out of jail if I ‘treated his friends right.’ Back in those days I didn’t know anything about Penn State or Jerry Sandusky. My whole goal was to stay out of jail, so I went along with it. Afterward, Savitz gave me and the other kids money and gifts and alcohol, but a couple of months after the TSM trip I beat him up when he tried to molest me. That’s what caused him to call the police.”
Prompted to describe what Savitz did to him, Bucceroni explained, “He liked me to defecate on him, perform oral sex on me, or else he’d take naked pictures and masturbate while other juveniles had sex. Savitz also wanted me to introduce him to other kids. Savitz had an entire photo album from TSM. Over the decades, I’d say he probably had hundreds, if not thousands, of victims until his arrest in 1992. Time magazine even wrote about him.”
Indeed, an April 13, 1992 Time magazine article entitled “Uncle Ed’s Ugly Secret” began, “To the teenage boys who visited his apartment near Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, Ed Savitz was an easy client who paid $15 for oral sex and had a fetish for soiled underwear and socks. Health and law-enforcement officials fear that Savitz was also a walking AIDS time bomb.”
Fast Forward
In November  2011 when the Sandusky scandal broke, Bucceroni spoke of his reaction. “After I told the Philadelphia police about Savitz in 1980, I tried to bury my past for the next 30 years. But everything I heard about TSM really hit home. There were all these allegations about TSM and their well-connected donors. So, I decided, since all of this stuff from my youth screwed up my life, maybe I could help other kids.”
But, Bucceroni insists, the process has brought about many hardships. “It would’ve been easier to get in the ring and fight Mike Tyson than come out and talk about this stuff. I don’t have an agenda, Eddie Savitz is dead, and I don’t plan on suing anybody. All I know is that if the Philly police had listened to me in 1980 and done their work, there’s a chance that the Penn State sex scandal could have been avoided. But the police did nothing.”
On a final note, Bucceroni added, “There are a lot of politicians that take money from these wealthy pedophiles. That’s why the Freeh Report didn’t go very deep. He kept the focus limited. Similarly, the mainstream media hasn’t—for the most part—touched this story either.”
The big question now is: will local and national TV stations, news reporters, and radio talk show hosts investigate this hidden angle, or will they continue to provide cover for a network of perverted pedophiles that prey on vulnerable children at supposed “safe havens” like TSM? If they continue to stay silent, they’re as guilty as all the others who’ve covered up this atrocity.

  1. This same story, in less detail, was going around last November but with the additional claim that the boys were being pimped out to wealthy Penn State alumni football boosters that Jerry met while he was still a coach. How the hell do you think that this will help Penn State? Nobody outside State College is going to distinguish between Penn State and TSM. Do you have any idea how many photos of Penn State coaches, players, administrators and trustees standing next to Jerry with a TSM banner in the background are in media archives? Well, if this story is true, we're going to see them all. This story is a freaking second nightmare for Penn State.

    1. My feeling about it in speaking with Mr. Thorn is that this direction will serve to open investigations that will answer the questions I raised in the 1998 So Close to an End for Sandusky - http://notpsu.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-second-mile-involvement-suspicion.html piece.
Whoever engineered the switch from CYS to DPW and the substitution of Seasock's report for Dr. Chambers is where the cover up lies. - and it could not have been Joe Tim or Gary.
I guess I hope and believe exposing the real villain and the fact it is not Joe Tim or Gary will be good for PSU.

  2. What are the chances that an organization pimping out kids in a town as small as State College and as dominated by Penn State alumni, employees, etc. is not going to have at least one Penn State-related customer? I'll tell you : zero.

Suppose they do find prominent state political figures on the customer list. Do you think that is going to make people move on from Penn State? It's going to make people want to OBLITERATE every person and institution involved. With the demise of TSM, guess what's the only institute left to take it in the neck?

Help spread this around the Internet? You're an idiot.

    2. If this goes where some believe it will to Mike Fisher and Tom Corbett it will have a very positive effect if it is shown that it wasn't PSU people or Joe but that powerful people used a dying coach as a scapegoat to deflect attention from themselves.
Only and idiot would think otherwise as far as I can see.

    3. If it should be revealed that TSM was running a pimping operation for wealthy donors and prominent figures, perhaps the very FIRST question that the media will ask is "Were Paterno, Curley, Schultz or Spanier customers of that operation and is that why they covered up its operations at Penn State"? There will immediately be an investigation of links between TSM and those four men and the media will find a ton of them : photos with Jerry at TSM functions, cancelled checks payable to TSM. all of those TSM events on the Penn State campus and on and on. When the media gets done, those connections are going to look anything but innocent. Remember that these guys, including Joe, no longer get the benefit of the doubt. Just the opposite. People are inclined to believe the WORST about them.

The existence of a high-level cover-up of a TSM pedophile ring would only benefit Penn State and Joe if you can show that Joe or someone at Penn State reported the 2001 event to a law enforcement agency OUTSIDE Penn State and this high-level conspiracy destroyed the written record of that report. But we know that no such report was made. Without that, far from being seen as victims, Joe and the others will be seen as co-conspirators in a conspiracy of UNIMAGINABLE evil.

Right now Penn State is associated in the public mind with a lone pedophile. Do you think that it will make things BETTER to have Penn State associated with a NEST of them? How does this sound : "Did ya hear, they found out that it wasn't just that Sandusky guy but a whole ring of them and it wasn't just Paterno covering up but a bunch of state officials were in on it too."

Penn State needs to take its medicine from the NCAA (or even better, punish itself), cross its fingers that the trials coming up don't make things worse and MOVE ON.

    4. A valid rational opinion I guess. But heaping the responsibility on Joe & a 2 administrators at PSU for a cover up that really involves the politically powerful using a dying coach as the perfect distraction seems pretty important to me.

  3. I'm surprised that there are commenters and people out there that would want this piece of information not to be made public if it is in fact true. Sure, the way that the media would spin it would make PSU look very bad, but what's the difference compared to what they are doing now. Shouldn't the quest be for the truth, not just making PSU look good to the media and the world? Thank you for publishing this article. If there was a cover-up, and this article is true, it would tend to show that it occurred at a much higher level than the university, especially if politically connected and powerful people were involved

    1. Thanks Goon Show
I agree that this cancer needs to be excised from the body politic in PA. If it is found that some powerful political types used dying Joe Paterno as a distraction and cover for their misdeeds it should be a HUGE story putting the Paterno destruction where it belongs. One of the worst mass feeding frenzy's ever that destroyed a man's reputation for the sake of saving some politically powerful figures.

  4. If a Penn State parent reads in the paper or sees on TV even the SUGGESTION that a pedophile ring is operating on the Penn State campus, their kid is gone. If you think that any Penn State parent is going to wait around for another Freeh Report to find out "if it is in fact true", you're kidding yourself. Even members of the Penn State community are only willing to take so much of this crap. You can only pour so much poison (true or not) into the well before people go looking for another well.

  5. AMAZING blog re Penn State child abuse scandal:

"Pedophilia is not sex. Sex is an act between two consenting adults, involving people in the same peer group.

Pedophilia is an act of power and control perpetrated by a person with more physical, financial, emotional, psychological, or status power and who controls and dominates a victim ****with sexual acts."

    http://mattpaknis.blogspot.com/2011/11/absolute-power-corrupts-absolutely.html

Most pedophiles were abused, but only a small portion of sexual abuse survivors choose to repeat the cycle. The behavior is deviant and not natural. Thus, it must be learned. However, as with psychopaths, some folks may be born with this deviance.

  6. I think that you're on to something huge here. Savitz say that these "meat markets" were held at "TSM fundraisers". He further says that the "shoppers" at these fundraisers were wealthy, prominent men. I don't expect to receive credit for providing back-up for these charges, but my review of online sources has disclosed that the following wealthy, prominent men have attended multiple TSM fundraisers:

    Lenny Moore
    The Suhey Brothers
    Lloyd Huck
    Franco Harris
    Lydell Mitchell
    William Schreyer
    Joe Paterno

Are these the wealthy, prominent men you had in mind? I don't quite understand why you think that investigation of this alleged pedophile cabal might exonerate Joe Paterno. Joe was the master of ceremonies at the biggest fundraiser TSM held one year. In any case, investigating men this powerful is a gutsy move and I salute you. You can count on me to spread news of your brave efforts as widely as possible on the Internet.

    1. I did not write the piece so I have no idea who Victor had in mind. Joe being helping TSM proves nothing about his knowledge of any "ring" involving Savitz.
If it turns out the investigation leads to these people then that is where it should lead.
Where I am interested in trying to get someone in authority to investigate who authorized the switch from CYS to DPW, the authorization of the Seasock interview, and it's substitution for the Chambers evaluation kept from DPW investigator Lauro uncovered in the Freeh report and left unresolved

    2. I have heard that the wealthy donors are not donors to Penn State but donors to the Republican Party and that this has ties to the "Franklin Sandal" in Nebraska, which also had ties to Republican Party. Could be why Corbett made it a Penn State scandal. Also the kids from Nebraska were flown to East Coast for parties.

  7. I hope that the preceding comment demonstrated to you just how stupid AND dangerous this nonsense can be. Penn State and TSM were joined at the hip. If TSM is smeared, what do you think that does to the reputations of the Penn State and non-Penn State people who served on its board, donated, volunteered, etc.? So just keep spreading this fantasy, you idiot.

    1. It seems to me the PSU and Joe could not possibly be hurt any worse that they are and I happen to be one of rather few who has been trying to shine a light on how unfair the AG and the Freeh report have been to Joe and Penn State.
This site is picking up 1500 views a day now and there is plenty of content here that should serve to provide the reader with ample reason to doubt Freeh and the Attorney General. What is it that you have done lately to try to get at the TRUTH? Scream "idiot" when something you don't understand is posted? Good Job.

    2. The reason I wrote these articles --- there are five in all --- is to show that a great deal of evidence exists pointing toward a pedophile network. As such, if evil exists, it should be exposed - no ands, ifs or buts about it. Then let the chips fall where they may. The main breeding ground for these deviants wasn't at Penn State, but at the Second Mile. Those in power who are the guilty parties obviously don't want a light shone on them, so they divert everyone's attention toward Penn State and not the Second Mile.

  8. Penn State, the UNIVERSITY, not the football program, could be hurt a hell of a lot more than it is now. So far the academic side of the university is still in decent shape. The university, not necessarily big time college football, will survive whatever the NCAA does tomorrow. The media's attention will eventually move on to some other shiny object in their field of vision. But they will never move on as long as this thing continues to fester because Joe's supporters are willing to follow whatever bullshit theory anyone pulls out of their ass if it "might" deflect blame from Joe. It's the same old sad story: Vindication of Joe is worth destroying Penn State, the reputations of Freeh, Erickson, the entire BOT, former TSM board members and on and on. Joe, however unfairly, has become like Jerry in the public mind, human plutonium that kills everyone around him. You want to strap that plutonium to Penn State; I don't.

    1. I cannot speak for Mr. Thorn but I do notice this article does not once mention Penn State. How it straps plutonium to Penn State is a bit obscure from what I see.
For me it leads away from Penn State to Philadelphia and possibly Harrisburg.

  9. Philadelphia? Because some of the kids were taken from there to State College to be sold by TSM? Harrisburg? Because some politicians covered it up? TSM is headquartered in State College and every aspect of its operation was crawling with Penn State people. Nah, no one will make the Penn State-TSM connection. You're either being disingenuous or you are an idiot.

  10. If Bucceroni is correct, then there should be photographic evidence linking the Savitz case to the Second Mile as he states Savitz kept a photo album of sorts of kids from the Second Mile. It wouldn`t be too hard to scan the photos and match them up with Second Mile records. That is if those records are still available.

Can someone please check the Philly police evidence from the 1993 Savitz case on this ?

If there was a pedophile network being run of TSM....you would rather not get to the truth and punish the people involved because you dont want Penn St to be hurt? So, you want to turn a blind eye to TSM to protect the school? No matter how many kids were abused over the decades at TSM?

      Wow....

I was referring to a possible link between Second Mile and the Savitz case. I didn`t even mention Penn State.

  11. Thank you for shedding the truth. Sandusky absolutely provided boys to wealthy donor, star football player at penn state, and penn state alumni. This wealthy donor i reference is Donald g Abbey who is a former penn state player and graduate. He currently runs a billion dollar real estate company in Long Beach, ca. He pays off everyone to get away with his pedophilia ways. After being caught in sexual acts with young boys provided by Jerry, he started writing checks to penn state, second mile, and beta theta to the tune of almost 15 million. Maybe, the Sandusky trial has scared him because he is trying to unload his home for 78 million and vacation home for 80 million. He is either preparing for war with legal funds or he is going to flee......
